Global hotel chain Radisson Hotel Group will open three new hotels in Vietnam over the next four years. The hotelier wants to capitalise on a rising tide of domestic and international tourism. The country received 14.5 million foreign visitors in the first 10 months of 2019, which translates to a 13% y-o-y increase.

The first new hotel to open its doors will be the Radisson Hotel Danang which will welcome its first guests in 2Q2020. The hotel is located in Danang city’s central Phuoc My Ward and is a 10-minute drive from Danang International Airport. The hotel will overlook the sea and features 182 rooms and suites. Other amenities include a restaurant, a lounge, a spa, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and meeting spaces.

By 1Q2021, the chain will open Radisson Hotel Quang Binh in the seafront city of Dong Hoi. The hotel occupies a colonial-style building that is being redeveloped to the hoteliers’ standards. The hotelier has not yet released how many rooms will be available there, but it will include a restaurant, a lobby lounge, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a ballroom, and meeting spaces. Dong Hoi Airport has regular direct connections to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, with plans to include regular flights to international destinations.

Lastly, Radisson Blu Resort Quy Nhon will open in 2023, and is located in Binh Dinh province in South Vietnam. The resort will comprise 120 rooms and suites, as well as 160 standalone villas surrounded by landscape gardens. It will also feature other leisure facilities, restaurants, bars, and function spaces. The nearby Phu Cat Airport offers direct flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

“Danang has emerged as an important regional hub for business and leisure travel, while Quy Nhon and Dong Hoi are prime locations about to open up to international tourism. Our upscale Radisson and upper-upscale Radisson Blu [brands] are perfectly suited to domestic and overseas guests in these up-and-coming destinations,” says Katerina Giannouka, president of Asia Pacific of Radisson Hotel Group.
